Hello all!

First off, Hello! I'm new to the forums and community, and hopefully i won't be leaving anytime soon :)

And now for my questions. I will be attending my first year of Engineering physics at CarletonU this fall, and I'm extremely excited. The main reason for me choosing engineering physics was to go into semiconductor/ic design, and was told (from a few professors at the university) that it was an excellent program to go into for that. But now i would like to get some feedback from some people actually in this world doing these things.

So to those who have degrees in engineering physics, or similar degrees, is this degree the one to go for if i wish to go into semiconductor/ic design?

Also, what other possible careers paths are available from this degree?
