Cathode heater

    How does a cathode heater work? Can't seem to find a straightforward explanation anywhere.

    This is very vague! You need to put some context in this. I could easily just say it is a heater that heats a cathode. Would this have answered your question? Or are you actually thinking about thermionic cathodes that work via heating?
