Currently, most CD players use laser light in the red portion of the spectrum. What changes would be rquired in the manufacturing of CDs if blue laser light were to be used? I don't really get this question...CD players have to do with polarization and thin films... right? I don't know much about it first of all and I don't know how the colour of the laser light has an effect. I know that the thickness of the aluminum film has to be 1/4lambda but if a shorter wavelength is used... hmmmmm... i don't get it! Please help!!
