I Centre of Gravity offset

    Hi,

I have a software application which calculates the CoG of an item when it is placed on to four weighing indicators. It calculates the CoG using the weight and distance between weighing points and provides the output as an X and Y co-ordinate of the object.

What I would like to do is calculate and offset based upon the CoG location.

for example, if my object is 2m square box and the co-ordinates 0,0 are in the centre. How would you calculate an offset for example, the co-ordinates are +0.5,+0.5.

Would you calculate an offset in both the x and y individually, or a combined offset?

    thanks

Can you explain a bit more about what you want to do ?

A diagram would be useful .
