Changing Identity

  1. Oct 8, 2015 #1
"Two scientists from Japan and Canada were awarded the Nobel Prize in physics for showing that particles known as neutrinos can change identities and also possess mass, insights that both deepened and challenged our understanding about how the universe works".

Friends! Please explain in simpler way what do we mean by Changing Identity. Thanks

There are 3 types of neutrinos. While in flight they can change from one type to another, with no intervention.
