Chemistry Textbook?

  1. Jul 6, 2010 #1
I see that there is another thread on this, but I do not know if my needs are the same and I did not want to hijack the thread....hence creating another....

I need to take a chemistry placement exam and wanted to study before I take it. I'm in my first year of college. Any recommendations on a good chemistry I college level textbook?

For General Chemistry, I reccomend you take a look at Brady's book.

    Try the Palgrave foundation book

    Chemistry

    by

    Rob Lewis and Wynne Evans.

This covers all branches of chemistry and is specifically aimed at your situation.
