If the material has compressive strength sigma_c = 2000MPA, at what compressive force Fc will the profile experience failure? 2. Relevant equations sigma_c = Fc/Area 3. The attempt at a solution I'm not sure of the right way to approach this as I've only done compressive strength with forces normal to a rectangular or circular profile, not ones where the forces are on the edge of the circle as shown.
