I just wanted to see what you think of these classes for a college freshman's spring semester:

Math 220 - Introduction to Linear Algebra - 2
Phil 201 - Introduction to Logic - 3
EconS 102 - Introduction to Macroeconomics - 3
Biol 107 - Cell Biology and Genetics - 4
Chem 345 - Introduction to Organic Chemistry - 4

This has two labs, for the last two classes... both are on Wednesday. Is this too little, or too much? I was going to include English 101 as well, but the college wouldn't give me 19 credits without paying extra...

5 classes and 2 labs seems about right to me. You'll be busy, though.

I'd say it's just right, too.

5 classes especially with 2 labs...and especially when they are real deal lab courses like Ochem and Cell Biology, sounds like a lot to me, but it also sounds doable.

I think 6 courses would just be insane. Sometime its not about how many classes you can take at once, but rather how do you make sure you maximize the amount you can learn. Sure you might have time to attend all lectures/labs, complete all assignments and probably get good grades, but how much time will be left over for your recreation (which can help maintain your sanity in a crazy semester)? How much time will you have left over to really learn all you can from your courses?

Would you rather learn a little bit about a whole lot of topics? Or would you rather learn a few subjects really really well? If its the former, by all means take as many courses as you can handle!

Looks good although two labs on one day can be drag.

I am glad that's not my schedule. I'm thinking of auditing maybe one class, but I'm not sure I can get myself to attend that much. I forgot what h**l it is being a student. Fortunately you are infinitely young and strong. You might compare it to what you took Fall semester and ask yourself how busy you are now, and what grades you anticipate.
