    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
Could anyone tell me if [NiF₆]2- and [NiF₆]4- are diamagnetic or paramagnetic?
And also their hybridization states? please?

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution
well i thought F is a weak ligand and hence a high spin complex formed, but i read a few places where it says that [NiF₆]4- is diamagnetic, which doesnt make sense to me. And i think the hybridization should be sp³d² but if its diamagnetic then i dont know what to do :-( could you please help me out?
    thank you
