What are Some Calculus-Based Project Ideas for a High School Coal Fair?

In summary, a coal fair project is an educational project focused on exploring various aspects of coal and its impact on the environment and society. To get started, one can research different topics, seek guidance from experts, and design a project aligned with their interests and goals. Some potential project ideas include creating a model of a coal mine, conducting experiments, and creating presentations on the impacts of coal mining. Safety concerns should be taken into consideration when working with coal, and to make the project more interactive, one can use visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples.

I don't think this counts as a homework question and if it does, I'm sorry. At my high school, we have an annual coal fair and I wanted to do a calculus-based math project, but I'm having trouble coming up with any good ideas. The project can be about any part of the coal industry, so does anyone have any ideas? I'll take about anything at this point. I don't need an answer just a problem, or equation, or something to work with.

How about Leontief economic models. Study interdependence of coal with other industries using matrices.
