Colonize places like the moon?

  1. May 19, 2005 #1
I dont really know where this should go its more about the people ON Earth then it is about Earth itself so I suppose it can go in this thread

    Anyways my question is:

Do you think we'll be able to colonize places like the moon? What do you think would be the problems with doing that? Obviously we wouldn't be able to colonize gas planets, since they don't have a surface...

The moon probably wouldn't work, since it's all rock, plants wouldn't grow, etc.
There has been thought about Mars though. By melting the polar ice caps we can create an inhabitablt atmosphere.
