Combined Clutch Brake Units

  1. Oct 12, 2011 #1
There are different types of CCB units. Hydraulically powered, pneumatic, electromagnetic and of course mechanical. But, can anyone give me the proper advantages and disadvantages of electromagnetic CCB over other variants. Googled it. But invain.

    Regards.

Mechanical advantage of power assisted brakes over regular mechanical brakes. You car uses a hydraulic system when you press on the brake pedal. The park brake is mechanical. Trains use pnematic, and all cars are connected together, so when a train brakes all cars brake. Electromechanical could be used for a remote braking system.
Hope this is not homework. In any case this is only a very brief outline.
