Considerations on Aid for Victims in New Orleans

    I wanted to start this thread on this forum section because it appears there have been no social policy discussions on how governmental and private organizations might best assist the most impoverished residents of New Orleans.

    I envision the prospects of the direct relief for housing and jobs for the poorest victims to be the largest single "jobs and training effort" since those undertaken during the Great Depression. Adding fuel to likely generous relief, have been renewed criticisms and discussion on the broader disproportionate opportunities available to Black Americans.
