Converting moldm^-3 to gdm^-3

  1. Feb 25, 2012 #1
    I don't understand how the above conversion works.

    For example say conc of HCL was 0.106mol dm^-3 and we want it in g dm^-3.

    Mr of HCL is 36.5

    36.5x0.106 = 3.87g

    then the concentration is 3.87g dm^-3

    when looking at it in terms of units it doesn't make sense...

    g*mol ≠ g dm^-3
