Conveyor Physics - Friction Collisions and More

  1. Jul 3, 2008 #1
    Hi experts,

I'm trying to model a conveyor system (like this http://www.iccconveyors.info/videos/GapMaster.html" [Broken]) and cant decide what method is appropriate.

So far I have modeled the basic vectors interactions for objects on the conveyor; velocity, mass, and collision detection/reactions but the results are not realistic. An example of this is when a box is trapped between two others. The collision code wants to move the box 2 back from box 1 when contact occurs but that causes a collision with box 3.

Any advice or guidance on how to approach this problem appreciated.
