The attempt at a solution I think I have a grip on what is happening in the script below, but I'm not sure why. I'm given a 20 x 64^3 (I think M is like 160,000 or something), each row being the "spatial variations" (perhaps someone could explain what precisely is meant by this) for a particular measurement. Then the data for each measurement is put into a 64 x 64 x 64 matrix (any idea why?) and plotted.
