Coupling IC engines

  1. Feb 28, 2016 #1
    hello all.....
imagine a high performance boat hull driven by 4 engines into 2 propellers......
2 engines are coupled to drive the port prop and the other 2 engines are coupled to drive the starboard prop
negating the mechanical complexities involved.......what am I going to benefit from this?
notwithstanding the eye candy.....I'm still driving a single prop with 2 identical (or very close to it) motors
