What is the direction of the cross product C x D?

    in the xy plane
    +z
    +y
    in the yz plane
    -y
    in the xz plane
    +x
    -x
    -z

    2. Relevant equations

C X D lies along the positive z axis. The z axis is in the x-z and y-z planes, but is perpendicular to the x-y plane.
