Currents normal to the wire [COMSOL]

  1. Sep 17, 2008 #1
Hi, started using Comsol for my work and running into a few problems.
I am mainly using it to look at the magnetic field produced from finite sized current carrying wires. For my purpose I only need the static result. I have produced results for straight wires, by setting an External current density in the subdomain settings, however if I want to use more exotic geometries, for example a curved y=x^2 wire, is there any way to define a current as running normal to the wire along it's length.
I also have access to matlab if this helps.
    Thanks in advance!
