Does anyone know what a D-domain is and a D-domain partition?

Can you give some context? Did you see this in a particular book or paper?

H(jk)=Q(jk)/R(jk)=U(k)+jV(k). "...use the D-domain partition on single complex parameter plane...". "During the calculation, take k=-inf to +inf to get a series of U(k) and V(k) values and then to plot the projection curve of the characteristic root plane imaginary axis on the U-V plane, namely H complex-plane, which is the D-domain partition boundary on H-plane". AC Machine Systems, p398, Gao, Zhang, Wang (Springer 2009).
