Designing a Strain Gauge

  1. Aug 23, 2004 #1
Hello. I am currently working on a project which requires me to deisgn a strain gauge. However, even though I have done quite alot of research, I am still unable to find the answers to the questions that I have. They are:

    1) How to decide the resistance (decided by the grid length as R=resistivity x l/A ) value to use for the strain gauge?
    2) How to determine the number of loops?
    3) How to determine the width of the grid?

Please help as I have done all I can to find the answers but I am still stuck!!!

    Thanks a whole lot!
