Determining Volume

  1. Sep 15, 2004 #1
How do you determine the volume of an irregularly shaped object that floats?

I thought that maybe the object can pushed or submerged under water as long as the object exerting the pressure does not enter the water. Is this correct, or this any other way to measure it?
