Did I have autism?

I am 23 year old and I have difficulties studying languages or writing good sentences
I am studying English and two another languages, for about 20 year, and I still not able- in some cases- to write or read I am studying physics too and it is easier to me
My social skill is poor I have only 1 or 2 close friends. I have no girlfriend until now (I have a lot of women as friend only)
When I need to write some think I need more time than normal person. And this is happened only with the languages but in mathematic or physics some time I can solve some equations in my brain. But recently I am starting lose this ability too
Therefore, what is happening to me? (and I am a good speaker):surprised

There is no way anybody on here could tell you if you have autism or not. If you really want a diagnosis go to your doctor and they should refer you to a specialist.

Hello, vvt.

Seeing a doctor would be best of course, but if you do not have access to medical treatment, there are people here who can offer help that is better than no help at all. Do you have access to medical treatment?

Okay. I'm sorry to hear that. As someone already pointed out, arriving at a diagnosis like that would take a handful of highly-trained people with better access to you than is possible over the internet. So we probably can't help you find a name, or names, for what you think is wrong. But you can still find things that help you feel better without having a label for your problems.

I've had success treating my own problems. Even simply talking and reasoning with others can help. What are the problems that you would like to change? How would you like them to change? You mentioned language and social skills. Can you give some more details about your experiences with these? What does it feel like?

If you can think of anything that has helped you in the past, that would be good also.

Welcome to PF.

I have a child with learning disabilities, I also have them. We both attended major universities, and have several degrees.
People with learning disabilities are generally of average or above average intelligence, and struggle in one or two areas where they need help. Learning disabilities, by definition, mean that a person's skills in a particular area (reading, math, visual/auditory processing, etc.) are lower than would be expected by looking at the person's overall IQ.
As friends go, most people only have one or two close friends, and the fact that you have many female friends, and a girlfriend, sounds pretty normal to me.

Thank you people but you must know I need to know the answer fast
I have autism or learning disability.
As you know, I live in 3rd world country so I will go to the army a few month later
So having learning disability is normal you can survive 2 year of military training
But having autism is mean that we will die or I don’t know what
Because I am Christian, so it is already a hard time for me
I know a man who live in another neighborhood and maybe he have an autism
And he come back from the army crazy and then he shot him self
Because in this country they don’t recognize the autism as an illness
And as I say if they recognize it as an illness you will go to mental house
And your family will suffer no body will wont to touch them or help them
Or speck to them or even live in the same building with them and I will be treated like crap or a dieses
I was hoping to immigrate to other country and there I can help my self because they are already threat us here like we are not from the people of the country but after 9/11
It becomes hard to us to get out because it needs so mach money. So I have two ways
1st find a way to be treated online (or diagnose )
Or
2nd escape from the military and go to Iran and work in their nuclear program
Because I said before I am studying physics

And I want to say some thing (we must give the inventor off Microsoft word a Nobel prize )

Hello again, vvt.

Having autism doesn't mean that you will die. People have all kinds of experiences serving in the military. I'm sorry that people don't seem to understand that autism isn't a contagious disease. You situation sounds unfortunate, but no one here can give you a credible diagnosis just by talking to you a few times on a forum.

If your situation is that severe, perhaps your time would be better spent seeking help from someone local or perhaps a humanitarian assistance mission. I hope everything works out for you.

I think if you have any sort of autism it is most likely going to be Asperger's syndrome. As honestrosewater has pointed out you will not die from this (and this isn't a diagnosis). If you're worried you will be killed because of it then I suggest you keep it to yourself and your family. Also people who have Asperger's or high functioning autism don't tend to "go crazy". They live on the most part perfectly normal lives. There are of course some things that will be different. Mainly some inability in social situations, ocassionally secondary problems such as ADD and learning difficulties. There can also be instances of extreme anxiety and extreme sensory responses. All of these can be annoying but you can also learn to live with them quite comfortably, and probably already have.

There is surprisingly a lot of support on the internet for people with Asperger's and there are several national societies with excellent web pages full of self help literature and other resources. Here's a couple but if you search google yourself you will find many more.

The UK national autism society:

http://www.nas.org.uk/nas/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=212

An excellent web site by a person with Asperger's about Asperger's

http://www.as-if.org.uk/index.htm [Broken]

Just to reiterate that nobody can diagnose you because its simply impossible over a forum.

I am having a hard time believing anything that you post. If you have studied English you'd know how to use it a little bit better.. Especially typing. What country do you live in?

Thank you guys you helped,
And as I see it will be best to go to Egypt and see a doctor there it will be best for all
Note: you won't die or killed if you have autism but in my country autism is not recognize well so you will go to mental house and there you will test pain and horror
So if I have autism I will escape to Iran and work in there nuclear program (I don’t have any other option)
If I am not having autism I will stay in my country and go to the army for two year like any young man
