for 1, so far I have C(w) = -1/2(c1^2 + c2^2)^(3/2)(2c1c1' + 2c2c2') = 0

for 2, so far I have sqrt(a^2+b^2) = A/sqrt( (2uw)^2 + (w0^2 - w^2))

I'm not sure how to answer the part about w*
