If you differentiate [tex] x^2 [/tex], you get [tex] 2x [/tex]. But now, if you right [tex] x^2 [/tex] as [tex] x+x+x+x+x+x..... [/tex] x times, and then differentiate, you get [tex]1+1+1+1+1+... = x[/tex](adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

What's wrong. Is it the discontinuity arising from the fact that multiplication can be converted to addition only in integers.
