Do Germans have a sense of humour after all?

In summary, Germans do have a sense of humor, although it may be different from other cultures. German humor is often subtle, dry, and can be self-deprecating. It is also heavily influenced by their history, political climate, and language. While some may perceive Germans as serious and stoic, they do appreciate clever and witty humor. Overall, humor is a part of German culture, but it may manifest in different ways compared to other countries.

Germans have a highly developed sense of humour.

They even understand sarcasm.

On the lines of german comedy or thereabouts one of my favourite comedians Stewart Lee famous (or infamous) for JErry Springer the opera has completed Stand Up opera about GErman stand up but soon discovered that the language didn't lend itself well so I think they've gone back to english.

Anyway whatever language its in it should be good.

I can't find my favourite, where two women in a laundromat discuss whether freedom whilst paying fridge installments was the crux of 'Road to Freedom", and decide to visit Jean-Paul and Betty-Muriel Sartre in Paris, having met them last summer in Ibiza, by raft across the channel, via finland, to see what they have to say, and so here is my second favourite:

Hey, that's nothing. The holy grail is to find a video of the embryonic rockabilly polka-dotted fighter pilots. So far even Google reveals only the meagerest of traces...

Ah, now I understand what Wayne Rooney was doing. :approve:

[quote=Danger]And leave us not forget 'The Two Ronnies'. The following is not their best stuff, but it's the only reliable video that I could find on short notice.

Those guys are great. They're as good as Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, and Tim Conway used to be.

Painfully funy at times, but to slapstick at others, i would not rate this series
as a classic .
