But just so I know--what kind of infinite series is that?
The infinite series 1+1/2+1/4+1/8+1/16 ... is an example of a convergent geometric series.

could you say that, if the universe is expanding, that everything is moving relative to everything else?

Your question reminds me of the "halving the pie" thought experiment that is often used as a simple model to explain radioactive decay. Theoretically, you could always share half of your pie and still have pie remaining to share again. Thought experiments often yield bizarre circumstances that the real world tends to slap down unceremoniously.

Does it ever stop moving well since later on you seem to mean do the molecules ever stop moving since its kenetic energy becomes heat then arnt you asking will the energy disapear... No the energy wont disapear. there are 4 forms of energy. Mass, kenetic, potential and photons. When it is moving it has mass(added mass) and kenetic energy. It hits the ground and eventualy stops moving all that energy will become heat which will give of thermal radiation, for it to stop moving all the kenetic energy would have to be given off as photns which would never happen, so no in that sense it never stops moving. But the ball does stop moving as the net momentum of all the particles inside is bouncing around becomes 0
