  1. Feb 16, 2009 #1
    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
I have a review in Calc and the question was:
    f(x) has a domain of [-1 , 5) Find the domain of g(x) = f(2x+3)

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution
    I got [-1 , 2)

    If x=-1, then 2x+3=_______?
    If x=2, then 2x+3=________?

Does that agree with the domain of f?

    For what value of x is 2x+ 3= -1? For what value of x is 2x+ 3= 5?
