The attempt at a solution I'm just having a little bit of trouble getting the ball rolling here. We've talked about some DSP applications in class, but I'm more curious about the software used in the design process of various DSP/ADC/DAC/thingymajigger/etc modules. I'm not entirely sure where I can look for some of the more common software that has been used over the past few years. So far I'm looking at a dsp module that I was given with my DSP textbook, DSPower (which is no longer used), and DirectDSP (which replaced DSPower). I want to be thorough with the report which means that I need to talk about speed for various operations such as FFT, DTFT, DFT and etc, and the advantages of gui vs command line as well as other things. What I'm looking for, as far as help, is any other software worth looking into as well as properties of the various softwares to look into. Thanks in advance for any help!
