Effect of Photoluminescent obstacle on interference

  1. Apr 8, 2013 #1
In a single photon, double slit experiment or conceptually similar experiments (for example a Mach-Zhender):

What would be the effect (on interference pattern) of placing a Photo-luminescent obstacle a little after one of the slits/paths?

Assuming that the other path is made equal (in space-time) so that both paths are equal in time-space.

i.e. when we place a photo-luminescent obstacle a small time delay will be introduced, to "compensate" for the time delay we make the other path slightly longer so that the time taken to travel both paths (till the meeting point) is same.
