Electrical circuits

  1. May 10, 2008 #1

1)wts the practical importance of inductance in dc and ac working?

2)application of ideal current and voltage sources?

3)how does an ammeter measure the RMS value of current?.....

1)The only ones i know are that inductors reduce fluctuations in voltage in dc circuits n are used in ac transformers....could someone tell me more uses of inductances in dc and ac?

2)Did not know they had specific applications...i thought they were just theoretical....

3)In this do i explain how a moving iron instrument works...as in about deflecting, controlling torques....i have only done MI and MC type instruments in class so i think ans is related to them only...or do i explain about shunting?
