Electrical Potential Energy

  1. May 5, 2006 #1
We just started this unit in our class and I am completely lost. This unit is tough. Anyways, here's the question! (It's probably really simple)

How much work is done in moving an electron from point X to Y?

    Hope that makes sense.

    I tried the formula:
Ep = KQ1Q2 / r, but that didnt work. Perhaps I used an incorrect value, or maybe I'm just doing this wrong. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Nevermind, I just got it. W = change in energy. How did I forget that... oh well.. sorry to post this!
