Energy density in a dielectric

  1. Just want to verify the energy density in a dielectric formula u = 1/2*K*epsilon*Ed^2
Ed is the electric field in the dielectric. K is the dielectric constant.
    shouldn't it be just 1/2 epsilon Ed^2
Why K, we already take the electric field in side the dielectric.
