Energy of a Sound Wave

  1. Oct 25, 2005 #1
When sound waves die out, what exactly happens to the energy?
It dies out too or somehow loses energy as it travels through air, right?

The energy remains constant. When sound waves die out it is because the intensity (not the energy) is reduced.
