Energy transmitted for total internal reflection

  1. Is it true that in the case that light undergoes "total internal reflection" at a boundary, the transmittance T is 0, althougth the Fresnel coefficient t is non-zero?
And although there is a "evanescent" electromagnetic field who contains energy, we say that no energy is "transmitted" throught the surface?
