Several friends and I are part of my high schools engineering club, and I've thrown the idea around of us trying to make a prosthetic hand. Before we go and try to convince our advisor to ok a complex project that seems like it might be off little benefit I want to be able to pitch the idea of putting it in a Science or Engineering Fair. I also want to have a goal to work towards to keep the team motivated. I am thinking a 3-5 month timeline would be reasonable and still give our people enough time to do the other programs we are part of that start up more or less once school is back in full gear (plenty of things from FIRST to keep us busy).
