Engineering: Infomech Vs Mech

  1. Nov 26, 2008 #1
So ive just finished my first year of mechanical engineering in Australia (pretty generic subjects) and now is the time i need to make sure im doing the right major. I've been quite sure throughout the year that mechanical is what I want to do however after doing my first unit of electrical engineering I am quite intrigued.

Can somone give examples of typical projects for each discipline? I'd like to work on mechanical, intricate sort of things (this interests me) as well as their electrical control systems but I am unsure exactly what the mechanical discipline deals with.
