Enquiries about Catia's Structural Analaysis

  1. Aug 31, 2009 #1
    Hi every one.

I am using Catia to perform a stress analysis on a metal frame.
However, I heard that the analysis in catia is not sufficiently good for engineering.

so I wonder the following things:
    1. the calculation model between catia and other structural analysis software (e.g. Ansys)
    2. how can i know the stress error value from "energy" (the catia gives me accuracy in "Jole" =0= )
    3. Which values should I read or what do they means? (Vos misses VS principle stresses)

Thanks alot for your kind help.
