Enquiry: Impact of Latest Mobile Crane Standard to old Cranes

  1. Jul 15, 2011 #1
    Hello guys,

The crane industry is moving foward to use EN13000 as their load rating standard instead of the old FEM 1.001 1998.

The 2 standard are rather talking about the design requirements, method and necesaary compnents.

I am curious what's the major difference in terms of a crane performance when fit it to EN13000 and FEM standard seperately. ( it seems that the old standard allows 75% tipping load while the new one is 85% base on "CICA_EN13000_The Way Forward_ 20100601")

Thanks for your help in advance
