Entropy of a black hole

  1. Aug 6, 2004 #1
    Can someone tell me what the numerical value for the entropy of a black hole of five solar masses would be?
    Is it a huge number?

    For a Schwarzchild black hole:

    [tex]S = \frac{2\pi kGM^2}{\hbar c}[/tex]

    whixh is approximately [itex]1.811 \times 10^{55}\\ JK^{-1}[/itex] For a 5 solar masses Schwarchild black hole

    Thanks jcsd.
    I want to see if I can come up with an equivalent calculation in theory development.
