Explaining Eng Materials to the layman

  1. Aug 12, 2013 #1
    Hey guys!

Loving the site, I'm not much of a science guy by any means but really enjoy reading about all the amazing stuff inside of science particularly in eng :)

I was really interested in materials and stumbled on this pretty great post as an introductory into explaining it all. I think it'll have more posts (his number two looks like the latest) so I'm keen to follow it along but is it all correct?

http://yellloh.com/All/eng-materials-02-welcome-to-the-world-of-metals is the post in question!

Hope to one day get into studying all of this a bit more formally but for now posts like above and wikipedia make me pretty giddy about it all, hope I'm not 'learning' incorrect stuff though!
