F=ma qualifications scores

  1. Dec 12, 2011 #1
    This is my first year doing Physics Olympiad, and I have a few questions.
    1) What score is generally needed on the F=ma contest to advance to be a semifinalist? I know that the first year of direct f=ma to semi's was last year, so what was the cutoff score last year? And was the test easy or hard? Sorry for my asking, im just a noob at this. Would a 16 make it without a doubt?
    2) They take the top 400 to semifinals, correct? So I heard that 2010 was a hard year, and my friend made it with a 16.25. Should that be around the score needed for any year?
