Fan Beam vs Cone beam CT

  1. Jan 11, 2016 #1
    Hello,

I wasn't sure if this was the correct area to be posting this thread, but I am starting to do literature searches into understanding both wide fan beam CT and Cone beam Ct systems. I was wondering if any knew of any good text books or papers that would point to when these certain imaging modalities wold be used, and pros and cons of each system?
I was searching through some papers and can't seem to come up with any good papers. I have stumbled on a textbook that talks quite a bit about Fan beam systems but in more of a image construction sense

    Thank you for any feedback
