Fan Power

  1. May 13, 2009 #1
    Hi,

How do I calculate the fan power (kW) and efficiency, given the flow rate, static/total pressure across the fan surface? Do I need more data?

    Thnx in advance.

    Nope.

Hint, write out a conservation of energy.

Work in = change in internal energy + change in kinetic energy + change in potential energy (assume zero).
