Find velocity

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    two resevoirs, one 60m higher than the other are connected by a pipe 1.5 km long. The friction coefficient is 0.008, diameter of pipe is .155 m. the the velocity and volume flow of water into lower resevoir

    2. Relevant equations
    mgh=1/2 mv2 therefore v= square root of 2xgxh

    3. The attempt at a solution I used v= square root 2gh, h=60m, and got 34.3 m/s velocity , i then tried the formula for head loss due to friction and got 18569m ( 4fLV2/ d2g ). I just can't see where I am going wrong here
