Finding an inverse function

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    Find the inverse function of y= x/2 - 5/2x

    2. Relevant equations

    3. The attempt at a solution
    I've tried to manipulate the equation to find x(y) without any sucsses.

    So you want to find the inverse of [itex]y = \frac{x}{2} - \frac{5}{2x}[/itex]

    Can you isolate for x here and have y and all other terms on the other side of the equation?
