Finding the change of the gravitational potential energy?

  1. Feb 2, 2017 #1
    1. What is the change of the gravitational potential energy (with respect to the earth) of a 120. g meteoroid that falls from a distance of 3.80 X 10^5 km to the surface of the earth?

I've tried multiple times to solve this problem and I just can't seem to find the right answer. I may be using the wrong formula. I've been using -G(M/r)
