The recoil of the rope did damage to the hood of the simulated stuck vehicle. A few off road experts (with no physics or engineering knowledge) assert the fibers need 48 hours recovery after yanking. I've had to do 15 pulls over 15 minutes once, but I'm using a double sized rope. Maybe if you yank > 80% elastic limit, then fibers do need time to recover. [/QUOTE]
