Finite geometry

    Let L and M be distinct nonparallel lines in an affine plane of order n. What is the total number on L U M?

    I hope someone knows how to solve this problem.

    what do you mean by that ?
    The order of the two lines together is just 2n ( n points on every line and no points in common because of parrallelity?? )
