Flexibility Matrix

    What is a flexibility matrix and how do I use one?

    In the context of solid mechanics, the flexibility matrix couples a load vector to a displacement vector. See, for example, McGuire's Matrix Structural Analysis.

    I have always heard it termed the stiffness matrix. Diffrent strokes...

    Of course, one's the inverse of the other, a la compliance vs. modulus.
